Meet the artist.

I’m James Anais, a London-born and raised visual artist working primarily in charcoal and oil paints, though not limited to these mediums.

My artwork serves as a vessel for my emotions - sometimes joyful, sometimes melancholic, often contemplative. Each piece is an embodiment of my state of mind at the time. Whether it’s a fleeting sketch in a coffee shop or a large-scale painting, each work carries the weight of a moment, a memory, or a mood.

I’ve flirted with art on and off throughout my life. In the times when I wasn’t creating, it always felt like something was missing. Once I recognised this, I knew I must pursue art with formidable effort and intentionality; to give it the care and attention it truly deserves.
